What is the AI Ethics Policy Forum?

  • ‘AI Ethics Policy Forum’ involves the participation of AI and AI ethics experts from across academia, industry, education, law, and civil society. It seeks to build a social consensus around securing the trustworthiness of AI by fostering discussions on emerging ethical issues resulting from the advancement of AI and its proliferation in society.
  • The Forum also aims to achieve transparency in policy making and to foster consensus by collecting opinions from experts and stakeholders in various fields when developing and implementing major policy initiatives directed at attaining an awareness of AI ethics.
  • ‘AI Ethics Policy Forum’ consists of a plenary forum and three specialized subcommittees (Ethics, Technology, and Education Subcommittees).
  • On April 14, 2023, the 2nd AI Ethics Policy Forum was launched. The Forum is a venue where ethical issues related to hyperscale AI and generative AI are discussed, and where opinions about major policies concerning AI ethics and trustworthiness are shared.
