Social demand for Trustworthy AI, Responsible AI, Ethical AI, and Safe AI continues to grow.
Although numerous principles, guidelines, and assessment tools for the ethical development and use of artificial intelligence have been released, accessible educational content on AI ethics for developers and industry professionals remains limited.
Educational content on AI ethics should not be developed to address a perceived lack of ethical or moral sensitivity among developers and industry professionals, but rather to encourage comprehensive reflection on the broader environmental and cultural factors that shape the AI industry.
"AI Ethics by Design" emphasizes the consideration of broader social interactions and the practical application of AI in real-world contexts. This educational content has been developed to encourage reflection on the potential consequences of AI technologies, including the diverse forms of user behavior that may arise from the use of AI products and services.
This educational content is the result of research conducted by the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) as part of the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT)’s project titled “Research and Development of Practical Measures on AI Ethics Education for Developers to Promote Ethical AI Development and Use.” Unauthorized reproduction of this content is prohibited.
